What are telehandlers?
Telescopic handlers are forklift trucks with mechanical lifting drive with boom. The unit's arm is designed to carry loads and resembles a telescope in its design. With the arm, it is free to extend and work at height vertically as well as horizontally.
Telescopic handlers belong to the category of handling equipment, so in order to operate them, the following are required entitlements and a qualification certificate issued by the Office of Technical Inspection.
The telehandler falls into two categories:
- Front (rigid) - In the case of the front-end loader, the boom is located on the right side of the machine and the lifting range is up to 20 tonnes, to a height of several tens of metres. The operator's cabin and the telescopic arm are connected rigidly to the machine's chassis, so there is no horizontal movement of the arm. When feeding loads at great heights, space is needed for this, not so with a rotary loader, which does not require as much space. A disadvantage with this type of loader is the limited movement manoeuvre, we can only approach the work area from one side. However, thanks to their applications and high lifting capacity, these loaders, are irreplaceable for feeding heavy loads at great heights. As a result, they are used in the construction of bridges and tall buildings, among other applications.
- Rotary - is a machine that is based on a turntable, in which case horizontal arm movement is possible. The advantage of this loader is that it can lift loads up to 30 metres. The lifting capacity on this type of machine is already much lower, ranging from 3 to 5 tonnes. The operator's cab, together with the telescopic arm, can even make a full 360° turn, making it much easier to control the machine. Thanks to the ability to rotate the arm horizontally, the loader needs much less space and does not require much precision positioning on the construction site. The position of the machine including the load can be corrected on the fly, so there is no downtime in operation.
Telescopic handlers are widely used in many industries. This type of forklift is ideal for use in construction, agriculture and aviation, among others. The specific application of the machine depends on its type and the attachments fitted. Interchangeable parts significantly expand the range of applications for telehandlers, making them extremely versatile machines.

The aforementioned elements make it possible to carry out work involving lifting and transporting loads and even people.
Loader on site
Loaders are an indispensable piece of equipment on the construction site, thanks to their high lifting capacity they can easily transport stone blocks and various types of structures. Their advantage is that they can easily work on difficult, excavated construction sites. Thanks to their wide functionality, we can considerably speed up construction work without using many workers, thus saving time and money.
Loader in agriculture
It is becoming increasingly common to see a skid steer on a modern farm. With the right attachments, we can use the loader for a variety of cleaning tasks. Thanks to its use, the forklift truck makes it much quicker and more convenient to transport hay and fodder.
