Training as HDS crane maintenance technician
All HDS operation and maintenance work requires a licence issued by the Office of Technical Inspection. The work of the operator includes, above all, working on the basis of health and safety rules, responsibility and the correct operation of HDS cranes. Maintenance work includes carrying out initial and periodic inspections, upgrading equipment and replacing individual components.

Training program
The training includes theoretical and practical preparation. Each participant of our courses receives access to training materials, instructional videos and sample exam questions.
The specifics of the work of a mobile crane maintainer and therefore the course programme includes, among other things:
- scope of activities during technical supervision;
- construction of equipment;
- the operating mechanisms of the various brands of equipment;
- HDS maintenance duties;
- principles for dealing with HDS failures;
- HEALTH AND SAFETY;
- rules for completing the documentation (maintenance log).
As with the HDS operator courses, the training consists of theoretical and practical preparation of the trainee for the UDT state examination.
Practical classes take place on a specially equipped manoeuvring area. Under the guidance of experienced trainers, trainees learn how to work the machine.

We offer open and closed training courses at our facilities. Our head office is located in Warsaw, but you can find us all over Poland.

We welcome companies and organised groups for closed-door training. For this purpose, please contact us regarding the date and place where the training will take place. The duration of the course, too, can be adapted to the client's preferences.
Once the participant has joined the training course, we take care of all documentation related to enrolling the participant for the UDT state examination.
Responsibilities of the conservator
- Carrying out regular technical inspections - The crane maintainer must regularly inspect the condition of the crane and its components, such as lines, brakes, drives, controls, hydraulic system, electrical system, etc., to ensure that everything is working fully correctly and in accordance with safety standards.
- Crane repair and maintenance - The crane maintainer must repair and maintain the crane when necessary. This may include replacing damaged components, lubricating bearings and other parts, or repairing mechanical faults.
- Replacement of parts and accessories - The crane maintainer must have knowledge of the parts and accessories that can be replaced on the crane. This may include replacing chains, blocks, cables, sprockets, etc.
- Testing and verification - The crane maintainer must carry out tests and checks to ensure that the crane is operating in accordance with safety standards. These may include brake tests, load tests, levelling tests, etc.
- Risk analysis and assessment - The crane maintainer must assess the risks associated with the use of the crane and take appropriate steps to minimise those risks. This may include identifying and eliminating potential risks, such as rope damage or oil leaks.
- Cooperation with other specialists - the crane maintainer must work together with other specialists, such as engineers, technicians, designers, to ensure safety
Labour market
Both in Poland and abroad, there is a growing demand for operators and maintainers of mobile cranes (HDS). The high demand is associated with attractive salaries.
After passing the state exam, the trainee is qualified to work throughout the country and receives a certificate in English recognised in many EU countries.

How long is an HDS operator's licence valid?
The UDT licence for mobile crane operators is valid for a period of 10 years. The licence is valid in Poland and abroad.
What are the requirements to take the HDS operator course?
Trainees must provide a medical certificate allowing them to work, be at least 18 years old and have at least a basic education.
What are the tasks of the equipment maintainer?
The duties of the UDT equipment maintainer include the maintenance and modernisation of equipment, i.e. the replacement of parts, the application of newer technologies, the replacement of fluids, seals and the maintenance of specialised equipment records. The maintainer carries out initial and periodic inspections, and is authorised to decide whether to put the equipment into service or to withdraw it.
What responsibilities does the HDS crane operator have?
The operator of mobile cranes has responsibilities both before, during and after work. These include: checking the documentation and preparing the unit for work, being careful and using the crane safely, checking the ground for work, monitoring the load, securing the unit and supports, assembling the HDS, washing the vehicle after work and parking and securing it against outsiders.
